Bad things happen to us. God allows circumstances to come our way to strengthen us and sometimes we invite them to come. If you are not careful, the pain from the circumstance can trap you, make you bitter, you will lose your joy, your self-confidence and even your faith. This is very sad. Some situations can shake the very foundation your life is built on. But no matter what happens to you, if it did not kill you, draw strength from it and become a better person. I found myself in a situation so difficult that praying on a daily basis was hard for me. I wrote down all my prayers and bible versus and just declared it every morning
‘For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.’
You have experienced something not many people can relate to or understand. You have become an anomaly through that experience. People tend to criticize and condemn what they do not understand or cannot relate to. There are many great people whose rise to greatness stemmed from something unfortunate that happened to them in the past. If they were able to draw strength from their circumstance and become a better version of themselves so can you!
Let’s assume you were trying to locate an address in an area you felt you were quite familiar with and so your GPS was off. You were supposed to take the third turn on your right, got confused because the second turn looked very similar to the third. You took the second turn, drove on for a few minutes and realized you were on the wrong lane. What will you do? You will do a U-turn, get back on the main road and try to locate the third turn to reach your destination. Sometimes life should be treated like that. That unfortunate circumstance should be treated as a detour. Someone will say you have no idea the gravity of the situation I find myself in. Did it kill you? No. I know it has definitely changed you and the way you view the world but if you will allow yourself to believe that ALL things work together for good to them that love God and have been called according to His purpose, then no matter what it is you shall rise again.
‘Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.’
